Actions are the things an agent is allowed to do once an automation runs. You decide which actions are allowed per automation. Think of actions as the guardrails for how far an automation can go without human intervention.

Common actions

GitHub updates

Open pull requests, comment on issues, or update branches.

Slack updates

Post progress, ask questions, or deliver results to a channel.

Sentry updates

Resolve, ignore, or annotate issues after investigation.

Linear updates

Update status, add labels, or comment with findings.
Keep permissions minimal at first. You can always expand what an automation is allowed to do as you build trust.
