Usage & billing
Plans, seats, metered model usage, and where an organization manages billing.
Local Proliferate is free. Billing exists for model usage routed through Proliferate's model gateway, when that's enabled.

Plans and seats#
Organizations bill per seat. Adding or removing a member changes the subscription quantity immediately and invoices the prorated difference on the spot.
Packaging and prices move faster than docs, so read the plan and per-seat amount from the in-app Billing pane.
What Proliferate meters#
Gateway model usage — model calls routed through Proliferate's model gateway, measured in USD — is the one metered resource.
Your own agent subscription, provider key, local model, or internal gateway keeps model usage on infrastructure you already pay for. Proliferate does not meter it and does not add a second subscription on top. See Agents & model access.
Balances and billing management#
The Billing pane shows entitlements, the gateway balance, and the actions available to the organization. Invoices, receipts, and payment methods live in the customer billing portal, linked from that pane.
Members do not see the organization panes. Their sidebar meters show only their own usage.
Self-hosted deployments have no Proliferate billing surface at all. Your own infrastructure, gateway, and provider accounts are the source of truth.
